    Description

Here we have a lot of about 210 vintage original WWII-era aeronautical charts/maps. Really amazing collection, from a pilot in California, neat historical/military collectibles. Compiled and drawn by the War Office, by the Army Map Service and Army War College. These charts are from 1942-1944, and many of the maps are restricted. Some of them look to be of Army Air Force origin. They are different sizes and it would take time that i do not have to go through them and list the measurements of every one. The first 6 maps that i looked through measured about 42" x 28", 40" x 30", 36" x 28", 32" x 28", 37" x 28", 38" x 30". So given these dimensions, i hope that you will have a general idea of what to expect regarding the charts' measurements. I will describe every map here to the best of my ability, but read for yourself to know what's here. Many of them have other bordering countries on the same map. This lot includes:

AAF aeronautical Approach Chart (Moultrie, Georgia)
They look to be in really good overall condition for their age. Some of them have been improperly stored/folded, of which you can see in the pile to the left in the first photo. Compare that stack to the vast majority on the right, which are neatly and properly folded like they were in the 1940s. The misfolded charts are still fine and very readable, usable and framable, and you could probably fold them back the other way to reset them or to counteract the misfolding. Very few tears overall, as you can see from the photos. Please look over the photos for yourself to know exactly what it is you are getting. Please ask any questions you may have before buying. Can supply more photos upon request.
