This extraction occurs while manufacturing wood pulp, then the DMSO is processed naturally for use in various applications and is sold as a solvent for use in specific concentrations.
In the late 1960s, DMSO became popular as a topical pain relief medication for pulled, strained, and sprained muscles and joints.
