Egg Shaped Thermometer which is advertising Isenberger Hatchery Clarion, Iowa. phone 336 Would make this from the 1940s t0 1950s area.  Metal egg shape with a thermometer attached and the 0 45 60 120 temperature numbers along side.  Also says Made in USA by the bulb area.  Cute simple graphics that show two eggs, and it says there to pack me small end down.  Above the two eggs it says: position in life is everything.. red lettering.  The edges are a bit rough but the top is pretty good..  the black graphics also shows an egg basket to cool the eggs in.  Along the lower edge, says Copyright Institute of American Poultry Industries.  It is an interesting item for someone in the poultry industry, someone who likes egg products, or to put near a collection of chickens.  unusual in a kitchen also. The mercury may be somewhat separated.  Just short of 6 inches long and 4 1/2 inches at its wider part.
