Description
Here offered is a true NC rariety from Vance county! This specimen features a nice large cabinet specimen scattered around with sharp reddish-brown hubnerite-wolframite blades as well as galena and chalcopyrite intimately associated! These tungsten minerals are hosted in a bleach white quartz matrix. Specimens of this rariety are extremely scarce and are almost never offered. The Tungsten Queen mine also known as the Hamme Mine closed in 1971. Most collectors never were that interested in the locality so very little has ever been collected or brought to market. This is an excellent sample of the tungsten mineralization at this one of a kind NC deposit! This specimen is quite hefty and has hubnerite-wolframite scattered all throughout it along with a little gangue material sericite.10x8x7.5 cm
