Description
This is a very rare lot of 5 original WWII 82nd Airborne Division after action reports. They cover the division's combat experiences during the campaign in Sicily and Italy, Normandy, Holland, Belgium (Battle of the Bulge), and Central Europe/Germany. These after action reports contain a wealth of information that would be hard to find elsewhere. Each report typically contains a preface and a battle narrative. Some contain a distribution list, specifying how many copies went to each unit in the division (based on this information, only a few hundred copies of each report were produced). Some reports contain a list of units and commanders. Some also have foldout maps. In particular, the Operation Market Garden report contains an original signature of Major General James M. Gavin, commander of the 82nd Airborne Division at the time. Overall, all five reports are in good, used condition with expected signs of wear. The Normandy report is missing the cover. Please see pictures to judge the condition of the reports. These extremely rare reports are seldom seen individually, and this is your chance to acquire five in one lot. Note that I will not sell the reports individually, as I want to keep them all together. I can send more pictures upon request. Please message me with any questions. Thanks for looking.
