    A well defined LW Sphalerite Vein in Calcite(red), Willemire(green) and Franklinite(NF).
    This is a smaller rock but with a very distinctive
    Sphalerite Vein.
    Location: Sterling Mine - Ogdensburg, NJ.
    Dimensions:3" x 2" x 2", weight 9 oz.
    Abbreviations: SW: shortwave, LW: longwave, NF: Non Fluorescent.
    As is the case with all fluorescent mineral specimens, a good quality UV lamp of adequate output and appropriate wavelength (short wave vs. long wave) is required to see the fluorescent response depicted in the photographs.  An ordinary "black light"
    will
    not
    work for these minerals.
