This item in my EBAY store is a NORTHWOOD MARIGOLD CARNIVAL GLASS  "GRAPE & CABLE"  LARGE 10 1/4"  ROUND MASTER ICE CREAM SHAPE BOWL.   This Northwood "GRAPE & CABLE" marigold carnival glass ice cream master serving bowl is antique glass that has survived well over 100 years of survival and because of age has now become a beautiful family heirloom piece of glass that is just the way this beauty left the "NORTHWOOD GLASS COMPANY", this master serving ice cream bowl is in excellent condition having NO chips, cracks, scratches, and NO glass staining, as you can see by my numerous photos;   It did not matter what angle or position I photographed this NORTHWOOD "GRAPE & CABLE" marigold large ice cream master bowl the COLOR and iridescence can be seen in my numerous photos taken, after all carnival glass is all about the COLOR and iridescence;   I like to take many photos of what I am selling, I photograph an item just like I look at the item before I buy it, I have gone over and over this large master ice cream bowl, a very large piece of glass for your money and all feels finger feel smooth with no roughness around these jagged serrated edge teeth around the top of this American beauty;   This particular ice cream bowl that I have here is NOT marked with the famous "NORTHWOOD" trade mark, the "N" in a circle with a line underneath the letter "N";   I may also add that this NORTHWOOD MARIGOLD CARNIVAL GLASS LARGE ROUND  "GRAPE & CABLE"  MASTER ICE CREAM SERVING BOWL
is an early NORTHWOOD vintage antique carnival glass master ice cream serving bowl that has been used and displayed over many years and still remains in beautiful heirloom condition, surely the couple of people who have once owned this American beauty surely cherrished this piece of NORTHWOOD antique glass according to the condition this NORTHWOOD "GRAPE & CABLE" master ice cream bowl remains in today, a very beautiful "GRAPE & CABLE" round master serving bowl (where are these little individual serving bowls ?????) ;   T
he finish is the satin type finish, and the back secondary pattern is the large "BASKETWEAVE" pattern that "NORTHWOOD" uses from time to time as their secondary pattern, the back of this "GRAPE & CABLE" ice cream bowl also has iridizing that can be seen in my numerous photos taken;
I will also mention that this beautiful NORTHWOOD large round master ice cream serving bowl that I have here does have those early carnival glass era characteristics of the early carnival glass production process having stress marks, straw marks, and air bubbles sometimes seen inside the glass of early carnival glass, these characteristics that I just mentioned to you is also seen in the glass of this NORTHWOOD "GRAPE & CABLE" ice cream bowl that I have here, these characteristics were done during the production of this very large ice cream bowl and is NOT considered damage, any questions at all please e-mail me;   Due to the condition of this big guy that I have here, this was a very much desired piece of carnival glass;   This NORTHWOOD much sought after "GRAPE & CABLE" pattern and all the "grape & cable" cousin patterns are shown and talked about in one of my many reference materials, one is a hard back book by,
