November 1 1943 AAF Surface Weather Chart & Forecasting Exam US Signal Corps

Description

This is a nice, original hand-colored weather chart from cadet school in WWII. Acquired from the estate of a former member of the United States Signal Corps in the Army Air Force during the war. This specific map was used to test the proficiency of the cadet at plotting fronts and surface conditions on a meteorological chart.
Measures 19" x 20"
There is some wear, creases from map being folded in quarters from period use as well as corner creases. Some surface discoloration at top edge of map.
