?This is an ORIGINAL and UNISSUED Army Air Corps Identification Card Case or wallet which were issued to AAF pilots and other officer personnel during WWII and into the post-WWII period.  I purchased this case back in March, 1997 before the crummy replicas were being made.   To be sure, however, I gave it the "smell test" and got that bitter smell associated with the vintage "Isingglass" used for the "windows" inside.  The outer case is made of leatherette, rather than real leather, which was in short supply during the War.  The case is in MINT condition with bright foil lettering for the gold lettering and silver wings and cannot be improved upon for condition.
Here's a rare opportunity for the advanced Air Corps Collector or re-enactor who wants to improve his impression with a case ready for the insertion of a replica officer's identification card to obtain a case in pristine condition.  The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and a five-day right of inspection and return/refund privilege, excluding postage.
