Patrol Squadron 22 was established in April, 1944 and redesignated as Medium Patrol Squadron (Sea Plane) 2 in 1946, and was ultimately redesignated as Patrol Squadron 42 in 1948.  It's operational history may be found here:

This typescript which cannot be found in any institution consists of an introduction, 3 pages of question/answer and 14 pages of diagrams.  It was created by officers with Pacific combat experience to assist patrol bombers against fighers.
