    Description

    Up for auction is this Reuter Organ Company Pedal Mixture sample pipe.  Sample pipes are voiced for a specific organ and then all other pipes of that rank are matched for voicing to that sample pipe.  The sample pipe is not used in the organ.  This pipe is marked P41, 1, 25, Mix, and 1/4.   P41 is Reuter's marking for this particular Pedal Mixture, 1 refers to rank I of the set, 25 is the note (mid C), Mix is the name of the set, and 1/4 is the cut up of the pipes.The pipe is made of about 50% tin, 50% lead and a bit of antimony for hardening of the alloy.   Pipe does not play because it has not been cut up for voicing but care should be taken when blowing by mouth since lead can cause medical issues.  Pipe is about 14 12" long.
