Vlasovite in Eudialyte - Kipawa Complex, Sheffield lake, Villedieu Township, Quebec, Canada3.8 x 3.5 cm (1 1/2 x 1 3/8 x 1 inches)
The greenish area of the specimen is a section of a Vlasovite crystal that forms within the massive purplish-red mineral Eudialyte. The white mineral present is Albite.
Vlasovite flouresces a creamy yellow color under short wave ultraviolet light.
A nice example of this rare fluorescent Sodium Zirconium Silicate.
