    Description

    Wollastonite fluorescent mineral Sterling Hill Mine, near Franklin, NJ.  A large hand-sized specimen, with a rich band of wollastonite in calcite, with grains of diopside.  Fluoresces orange-yellow, and some red in shortwave UV light.  Note any blue in the UV photos is just reflected light.


    Big cabinet specimen, measures 6 inches x 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches, and weighs 5 pounds 4 ounces.
