WWII 1942 6th Armored Calif Xmas Dinner + Hollywood Troop Party Rosalind Russell

1942 Christmas Dinner Program for Headquarters & Headquarters Company December 25.  Inside is a list of the Officers and Enlisted men, menu on the back.
Also included is a clipping from the LA Times announcing actress Rosalind Russell is the first from Hollywood to announce she
will attend the "Christmas Fete Planned for Desert Forces" on 12/26.  A special train will take the party to thousands of
soldiers stationed at an undisclosed location in the California Desert.
And the article on the party itself. In the end they took buses to the desert and stars like Joan Blondell, Pat O'brien and Red Skelton were at the party.  Along with 350 "Central Casting Office Girls" from the studios. Much of the credit for the success of the party goes to Rosalind Russell who had 3 brothers in the service.  The article is in 2 pieces and glues to a scrapbook page.  Also has a couple of holes, see pictures.
All items were found in a scrapbook from a Los Angeles Estate Sale.  The front page of the program was glued down so does have damage and residue, see pictures.  Condition as seen in pictures.
