WWII Escape & Evasion Map of Northern & Southern Italy Dbl Sided. Map No P.J.3 shows No. Italy. Map No. P.J.4 shows So. Italy. Also shown is Sardinia, Sicily, and Corsica, France. Printed on rayon and based on native Italian mapping rather than a Bartholomew map. It was published in a print run of 5000 on Jan 7, 1942. Marked ADI (Maps) Air Ministry No. 7331 & 7332. Rivers on map indicate direction of flow. Maps developed for MI9 by Charles Clayton Hutton.
Map issued to my father who was an Organic Air Pilot for the 2nd Armored Div 92nd Field Artillery. It has been in storage since 1946. Size of map 23” x 20”. In very good condition with some age spots and crease where folded to store. Has hem on all sides. Map is in black and white.
